1. KOTA KINABALU, 31 Oktober 2014 – Kapal Selam KD TUN RAZAK (KD TRZ) telah berjaya melaksanakan penembakan torpedo Black Shark di Perairan Laut China Selatan (LCS) pada jam *11.13 pagi tadi. Penembakan yang dilancarkan dari aset strategik Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) ini telah berjaya mengenai sasaran permukaan yang disasar pada jarak dan kelajuan yang telah ditetapkan. 2. *Dalam penembakan pagi tadi, KD TRZ telah melancarkan torpedo Black Shark ke sebuah feri penumpang yang telah diubah suai sebagai sasaran untuk tujuan penembakan. Defence and security company Saab has signed a contract with the Brazilian Federal Government (Ministry of Defense through the Aeronautics Command, COMAER) covering the development and production of 36 Gripen NG fighter aircraft for the Brazilian Air Force. The total order value is approximately SEK 39.3 billion. Saab and COMAER have also signed an Industrial Co-operation contract to deliver substantial technology transfer from Saab to Brazilian industry. On 18 December 2013 Brazil selected the Gripen NG to be its next-generation fighter aircraft, through the F-X2 evaluation programme. Since then all parties have negotiated to finalise a contract. The airborne capabilities of Thailand’s navy and air force will be significantly enhanced with the acquisition of two mission-ready Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft types: the light-utility EC645 T2 and the 11-ton-class EC725. The Royal Thai Navy signed for five EC645 T2s to be deployed on transport duties and other missions, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2016. Its purchase represents the first export order of this militarized version of the EC145 T2, which is the newest and most powerful model in Airbus Helicopters’ proven EC145 light twin-engine helicopter family. The US has delivered an additional batch of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters to the Taiwanese Army. Comprising six Apaches, the consignment represents the fifth and final batch of a contract awarded by Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence to the US in 2008. Valued at TWD$59.31bn ($2bn), the deal covered the delivery of 30 AH-64E Apaches to help supplement the Taiwanese Army's ageing AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopter fleet. JAKARTA/MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax-AVN) - Trade between Russia and Indonesia should increase by more than a half to $5 billion before 2016 thanks to joint investment projects, Russian Minister Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said during his working visit to Indonesia. "The minister of industry and trade noted that currently the figure stands at around 3 billion, and a great deal of work is to be done to reach a new level of the trade and economic relations," according to a statement obtained by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday. The Islamic State has released a new video in which it brags that it recovered weapons and supplies that the U.S. military intended to deliver to Kurdish fighters, who are locked in a fight with the militants over control of the Syrian border town of Kobane. The SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks jihadist social media accounts, drew attention to the video Tuesday. At one point, it appears to show a masked militant raking his hands through a crate filled with hand grenades. A U.S. Central Command spokesman said he was looking into the reports. In a news release Monday, U.S. military officials acknowledged launching one airstrike near Kobane that they said destroyed “a U.S. airdrop of Kurdish supplies” to prevent “these supplies from falling into enemy hands.” By Vivek Raghuvanshi
NEW DELHI — India has canceled yet another light utility helicopter (LUH) global tender, this time for the Navy, which has rushed to float a new request for information to domestic companies for the troubled program, said a Defence Ministry source. An Indian Air Force Sukhoi SU-30MKI fighter plane crashed near Pune at 5:30 PM on Tuesday. The jet crashed shortly after it took off from Pune's Lohegaon IAF base. In a sheer stroke of luck, both the pilots flying the aircraft escaped unhurt according to information provided by the Pune rural police superintendent Manoj Lohiya. On April 12, 2013 in Feodosiya, representatives of the state-owned defense conglomerate "Ukroboronprom" and Chinese Navy officials signed the certificate of acceptance for the first Zubr (project 1232.2) amphibious hovercraft. On the Ukrainian side the document was signed by Dmitry Peregudov, Ukrspecexport General Director.

Indonesia marked the 69th anniversary of its military on Tuesday with a ceremonious display of military machinery, including tanks firing their turrets in mid-air. KUALA LUMPUR: The Defence Ministry hopes to be allocated more funds under Budget 2015 to strengthen security in the country and combat growing terror threats in the waters off Sabah and Sarawak, said Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri. Jakarta has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with Seoul on the KFX indigenous fighter programme.
In a statement, Indonesia’s defence ministry says that six prototypes will be developed, of which one will be given to Indonesia for flight tests. In addition, it reiterates the role of Indonesian personnel in the programme, and that a final assembly line will eventually be located in Indonesia. |
